For aluminum systems, use a short piece of copper cable from the ground rod then above ground connect a #25 Bi-Metallic connector to the aluminum cable. (see #25 below)

Standard concealed through the roof Lightning Rod
Concealed Lightning Rod Assembly of copper or aluminum. Consists of 12" 18" or 24" Lightning Rod above the roof with the threaded rod for thru the roof insert. Rubber and stainless steel washers and nuts draw tight to prevent leak. (Longer lengths are available). For custom lengths please specify how much above and below roof you want.
